Quiet Season, Full Heart & Next Steps

It’s been a little while since I’ve landed in your inbox, and I wanted to take a moment to say hey now and to let you know where I’ve been.

The truth is, life got full. Beautiful, hard, stretching, sacred kind of full.

Over the past few months:

  • We faced some significant challenges with school for my son, which led to a temporary shift to homeschooling, and then praise God—finding a supportive school community to finish out the year.

  • The oldest, Gabriel, was promoted to high school. Lord, I'm about to have a ninth grader. Say what?

  • I’ve been planning a deeply personal and intimate event: my wedding! On August 6th, I’ll marry an amazing man named Yusupha, and while our ceremony will be small, the meaning and preparation have taken up a lot of heart space (and calendar space, too). I'll share more about him and us over time. (blush)

  • And of course, I’ve continued my full-time work as Pastor of Spiritual Formation and Groups at The Gathering. Right after Easter, we held our annual One CoreGroup One Day event, and ever since, I’ve been actively planning for fall small group launches, trainings, and the deep work of spiritual formation in our local church.

All of that meant I had to step back from my usual rhythm blogging. Not out of disinterest, but out of necessity. Maybe you’ve had seasons like that too.

But even in the fullness, God’s been speaking clearly:

My call to equip, encourage, and create space for folks to become more like Jesus doesn’t end at the church doors.

So I’ve made some changes behind the scenes by bringing on support to help me stay present here, with this beautiful, growing community of faith leaders, spiritual seekers, and everyday disciples. I’m committed to showing up again--consistently, purposefully, and honestly.

And in a few days, I’ll be sharing more about something I’ve been doing all year:A Pay What You Want coaching offer. Each quarter I open up space for people to engage with coaching without financial pressure just a chance to be supported in whatever season they’re in.

This time around, the focus is discipleship.

Whether you’re a ministry leader or pastor, a lay leader involved in group life, or a Jesus-follower simply wanting to grow in your spiritual rhythms, this offer will be a gentle, grace-filled space for reflection and support. You’ll be able to bring whatever’s stirring such as your personal walk with God, the group you’re leading, or your longing to feel more spiritually connected.

But no links just yet. I just wanted to reconnect.

To say: I’m still here.

To say: God’s still moving.

To say: Something meaningful is coming.

More soon, y'all. Until then, love your people - that's what life is all about.

With grace,
